Air Canada Vacations donates thousands of books to Rosseau Combined School through Sandals Foundation

ST. LUCIA (April 26, 2012) – Rosseau Combined School in St. Lucia recently received more than 4,300 books from Air Canada Vacations, a leading Canadian tour operator, through the Sandals Foundation.

Air Canada Vacations, in partnership with Flight Centre and Air Canada decided to contribute to the Reading Road Trip, a voluntourism initiative, by collecting used books.

At the end of the book drive, 60 boxes of books were shipped to the Caribbean island.

The Sandals Foundation identified Rosseau Combined School as a recipient for this donation considering the school, which serves 183 students who are five to 12 years old, is situated in Saint Lucia’s second most needy community.
