Young people learning how to make jewelry

The Travel Foundation partnered with the Sandals Foundation to develop the Glass Jewelry Project – intended to create a meaningful intervention for young people by teaching them jewelry-making using recycled glass.

The process engaged 10 youth from the urban center of Kingston who were identified through RISE Life Management Services, an NGO that reaches individuals through education and skills. They trained at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, and are now expected to earn an income from their new skill.

The final products will be sold at seven Sandals properties in Jamaica, as well as made available to the public.
